Amanda Coulter My family has three rules hanging in our kitchen. "Do what's right. Do the very best you can. Treat other people like you want to be treated." These rules are the foundation of how I live my life and how my husband and I raise our two boys. I use these rules to guide every interaction I have with a child in preschool. I have been a part of Cataldo Catholic School since 2000. I was the Physical Education specialist at Cataldo until 2009. When I first started teaching at Cataldo, I met Mrs. Staeheli who was then the kindergarten teacher. I remember having an immediate connection with her and her philosophy of teaching and I knew someday I would teach emerging learners with her. In 2009 the opportunity to teach with Mrs. Staeheli in the preschool presented itself and I couldn't resist. I absolutely love the amazement our students have combined with their willingness and enthusiasm to learn. We foster a caring and nurturing environment where our young students learn to do what's right, do the very best they can, and treat other people like they want to be treated. Amanda has taught at Cataldo since 2000. She holds a Washington State Continuing Teaching Certificate in K-8 Elementary Education and a K-12 Physical Education with a K-12 Health endorsement. She also holds a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Amanda has thirteen years teaching experience in K-8 Physical Education, ten of those at Cataldo. She is also a part-time instructor at Gonzaga University in the Physical Education Department. Amanda can be reached at acoulter@cataldo.org or 624-8759 ext. 307.

Ruth Nelson Being raised and going to parochial schools from Kindergarten through High School laid a great foundation. When my husband and I had our two sons there was no question- they too were going to have that experience. I started at Cataldo in 2007 as the Preschool aide, after thirteen years of being an in-home daycare provider and our son's school volunteer, to further my commitment to the Catholic School ministry. |
