FINANCIAL COMMITMENTS/FAIR SHARE GUIDELINES
Cataldo Catholic School offers to all active Catholic families in our three parishes the Fair Share Program. This program allows a parish family to work in collaboration with the pastor to determine what they can honestly commit toward the actual cost of educating their child(ren) at Cataldo. Volunteerism and participation in fundraisers are an integral and important part of the Fair Share Program.
St. Augustine’s, Sacred Heart, and Our Lady of Lourdes parishes are committed to their financial support of Cataldo Catholic School’s ministry to the extent their means allow. In addition to the financial support of school ministry provided by these parishes, those families who enroll their children at Cataldo must carry the expenses of this ministry in a significant way. This expense is also met through the participation and support of annual fundraisers).
1. As part of its budgeting process, the school establishes the cost-per-student. This figure is used as the basis for soliciting payment from parents for participation in Cataldo Catholic School ministry.
2. Parents registering their children at Cataldo will be required to sign a Tuition Agreement, which indicates the extent of their financial responsibility for the education of their children. Parents are legally and morally obligated for the full satisfaction of this agreement.
3. Tuition Agreements must be paid according to the particular payment plan specified in this agreement.
4. Families entering Cataldo Catholic School after the beginning of the school year must begin their financial commitment at the next monthly transaction date. Payments will be pro-rated according to the remaining school calendar and the payment plan selected.
5. In the event of withdrawal, pre-paid monies shall be reimbursed on a pro-rated basis.
6. Non-compliance with a payment plan may result in dismissal from the school. Parents will be notified in writing. Tuition Agreements shall still be considered a legally and morally binding obligation. Report cards and/or diplomas may be withheld until financial payment is received.
7. Registration for the new school year cannot be completed until full satisfaction has been made of the parent(s)/guardian(s) financial agreement for any previous year. Registration is not final until all registration paperwork is complete and both the parent/guardian and the principal have signed Tuition Agreements. Families seeking a fair share subsidy require the signature of the pastor as well.
8. Parents who are two (2) months in arrears may be required to go on automatic tuition deduction via their bank.
